Past. Present. Future. Women Environmental Changemakers Story Salon

March 26, 2019 @ 6:00 pm - 8:30 pm

$10 – $18

Sharing our stories, and listening to others’ can spark empathy, action, courage, a sense of belonging, new understanding, respect, collaboration, and friendship. Sharing or receiving a story even has the power to catalyze change—in our minds, in our hearts, and in our actions. Yet, how often do we have the opportunity to share our stories or to listen—really listen—to another’s?

In honor of Women’s History Month, Women’s Environmental Network invites you to unlock the power of story and enjoy an evening of inspiration and connection at Past. Present. Future. Women Environmental Changemakers Story Salon.

You’ll hear from five Bay Area women environmental advocates, activists, and catalysts, who will reflect on what drew them to environmental work, the change they’re making now, and their vision for the future. From there, each woman will lead small group discussions, in which participants will exchange their own visions for change and support one another with ideas, connections, tools, or by simply listening.

You won’t want to miss this intimate event, where you’ll have the opportunity to make meaningful professional and personal connections.

We are grateful for the participation of five featured Women Environmental Changemakers:

Nahal Ghoghaie
Water & Climate Program Manager for Environmental Justice Coalition for Water
Founder & Consultant, EcoLegacy Consulting

Arielle Moinester
Program Director, Women’s Earth Alliance

Sometimes. Most WEN events are open to all people who identify as women. For some events, we welcome folks who identify as men. In those cases, we will make a clear statement in the invitation.
