Interest first arose in 2011 for a WEN book club where members could come together in an intimate setting to discuss books they had chosen to read, centered on environmentally oriented topics. The first member-led meeting was held in the East Bay in March 2012, and it’s been history ever since! While our readership has grown, our meetings remain small and casual, usually pot-luck style, always a few in attendance who didn’t get the chance to crack the book open but still want to participate (we don’t judge). Four years later, not much has changed – with one exception. We now have a San Francisco chapter ready for action!

Please join us in welcoming the San Francisco chapter of the WEN Green Reads book club with an inaugural meeting on Thursday May 19th at 7pm (If you would prefer to join the East Bay group, they are meeting the following week, Thursday May 12th at 7pm). Both groups have chosen to discuss Presence: Bringing Your Boldest Self to Your Biggest Challenges by Amy Cuddy. If you don’t have time to read the book before the meeting, search for her TED talk for some light spoilers.

To sign up for the East Bay or San Francisco email list, please email WENBookClubEastBay@gmail.com or WENBookClubSF@gmail.com, respectively. We look forward to seeing you at a future meeting. Happy Reading!
