Sunset Hike with Women’s Environmental Network
June 22, 2017 @ 6:00 pm - 8:30 pm
Sunset Hike in Berkeley Hills
Join WEN for an after-work hike through Tilden Regional Park to celebrate the start of summer! We’ll trek the 4-mile Wildcat Peak Loop through peaceful woodlands and open chaparral to take in sunset views of San Francisco Bay and the Berkeley Hills. Mix and mingle as you walk, and meet other active women who find solace in nature while working to protect it.
We’ll meet in the parking lot near the Tilden Nature Museum at 6pm, sharp! Bring a reusable cup to join us for a glass of wine at the top of the trail.
Please note that this hike is best enjoyed by women with moderate to strong fitness levels, as it includes a 750 foot climb. Wear sturdy sneakers or hiking boots and bring a warm jacket, water, and a snack to enjoy at the viewpoint. We plan to be back at our cars by dark, however, consider bringing a flashlight or headlamp just in case.
Date: Thursday, June 22, 2017, 6pm sharp!
Meeting Spot: Tilden Nature Center parking lot, details will be emailed closer to the event. (Details TBA to attendees via email.)
Transportation: Because public transportation is limited in the hills, we recommend using CARPOOL to offer or request a ride.
Food: We’ll have a glass of wine waiting for you at the top! Bring your own snack, reusable cup, and plenty of water.
Cost: $5 Early Bird, $7 Last Minute. Please RSVP.
