The Women's Environmental Network (WEN) is hosting an evening of Speed Networking which provides a fun, dynamic forum for our growing membership to meet, mingle and make lots of new connections in a short amount of time. Please join us and enjoy appetizers, wine, and networking in a relaxed and friendly environment! Speed networking is a structured and fun way to network with a large group. You will get a several minutes to network with other participants and exchange ideas. In just a few minutes, participants will share business cards, career history, aspirations and offer new contacts or ideas. WEN will facilitate the timing of each "speed connection" and will provide starter questions to help get the conversations flowing. There will be time to mingling before and after the formal hour of speed networking to enable participants to make additional connections and to follow up with new connections.

We'll start with delicious home-cooked breakfast food, mimosas and other fortifying goodies at a board member’s Mill Valley “tree house” to be followed by an easy hike on the Tennessee Valley trail on Saturday, November 12. Brunch starts at 10 a.m. and will accommodate those with food sensitivities. At 11:30 a.m. we’ll drive five minutes to the trailhead for an easy two-hour walk to the beach and back. September 2010, Presidio Park Sunset Hike.  We enjoyed a leisurely walk down the hills and trails of our gorgeous Presidio with Chris Giorni, Director of Tree Frog Treks.

July 2010, Pancake Hike on Mt. Tamalpais.  A strenuous hike from the parking lot of the Mountain Home Inn to our pancake destination at West Point Inn.  We met at the parking lot across the street from the Mountain Home Inn, 1000 Panoramic Highway, Mill Valley, CA. 

June 2010, WEN Sunset Cruise of San Francisco Bay.  We had a spectacular boat ride, stunning sunset and coastal views, libations, and substantial hors d'oeuvres on the 64 foot white Hatteras power boat, The Creative Spirit.  The boat is equipped with solar panels and implements waste reduction and recycling.
